In a world that rushes to diagnose,
she chose to understand.
The story of Dr. Samia Khan — Pakistan’s first dual-qualified Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist.
When Samia was a little girl, her emotions were a source of intrigue for her. She would feel angry but she couldn't translate into words why she felt her emotions more than those around her. Each month, she waited eagerly for a magazine that carried a single page on psychology. That one page became her teacher — explaining why hearts break, minds rush, and tempers rise.
She began to draw to release her artistic expression. She has filled numerous sketchbooks and is skilled with the pencil.
Years later, she fulfilled her parents’ intention and studied Pediatrics — learning to deal with tiny people (kids). But in 2017, when her own children had grown, she felt the familiar pull of curiosity. It whispered, “You’re not done yet.”
So she returned to study — not because she had to, but because she wanted to understand people more deeply. That courage turned into a legacy. Today, Dr. Samia Khan is Pakistan’s first consultant qualified in both Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Her practice brings science and empathy together — guiding people to rediscover their strength, calm, and balance.
“Healing isn’t about silencing your emotions — it’s about listening until they no longer have to shout.”
Her sessions are gentle yet practical. You’ll talk, reflect, and walk away with tools — not just advice. Therapy with her feels less like being analyzed and more like being understood.
